- Provide in depth technical expertise in field of specialization to resolve problems of unusual complexity in a cost effective and timely manner.
Develop and present technical presentations in response to client technology related questions/inquiries.
Interface and coordinate with the Global EAPD SI (Wayside) and Regional System Engineering Departments to insure consistency with established processes.
- Interface with partners to ensure Bombardier interface requirements are understood and met.
- Initiate, direct and schedule work load, identifying problems, monitoring progress and performing broad engineering responsibility to determine best solution..
- Perform other sundry duties in a leadership capacity such as controlling budget expenditures, reviewing quality of work performed, and reporting results to management.
- Support development of any specified tools, test equipment, training materials, and other enabling products necessary to efficient contract delivery of civil interface and track scopes.

Education
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering
Preferably:
- Chartered Civil Engineer
Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)
- Engineering Degree
- 2 years of experience
- Experience with transit system design and implementation with focus on E&M systems.
- Superior technical skills and demonstrated leadership qualities including written and verbal presentation skills.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures, scheduling, and budgeting.
- At least ten years of responsible and productive design or system engineering experience.
- Proven record of technical accomplishments.
- Must have demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers and take responsibility for resources of the company.
- Proper planning and organizing are necessary to meet bid budgets, schedules, and target system costs.
