The Role

• Advising and shaping application security best practices in an evolving client environment.
• Design, architect and troubleshoot complex application security implementations, leading delivery of HLD and LLD documents.
• Ensure that IT systems and applications within the organization meet the needs of business while adhering to security best-practices, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Perform and participate in application security assessments of systems currently in place to identify security gaps and recommend changes or enhancements security aspect.
• Anticipating possible security threats and identifying areas of weakness in the proposed system, an application security architect must be proactive to highlight the possible breaches of security.
• Reviewing application infrastructure design both on-premise and on cloud and devising the needed infrastructure and microservices security architecture (inclusive of container security architecture, data security architecture, network security architecture and operational security architecture).
• Contribute to overall application security and/or industry specific application security framework.
• Working directly with clients and Accenture teams in a multi-disciplined team structure, designing and implementing application security solutions across a variety of vendor.
• Building knowledge capital through research and development and leveraging industry insights to deliver best of breed expertise to clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as application security.
• Excellent working knowledge about application security as well as the controls necessary to mitigate them, on both an organizational and technical level.
• Familiarity with application architecture design, web application security, mobile application security, API and microservice security, network/infrastructure security, source code scanning and vulnerability assessment.
• Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Distinct problem-solving skills with proven technical writing and communication abilities.
